Mother’s Day Special

Its been long since I updated anything.. been so busy lately with the shifting, and all the hustle and bustle makes me think sometimes where did the time fly  :)

This Mother’s Day was special , as my little one took her first steps and got me IMG_2100a lovely gift with her dad…imagine that feeling wow.. I love the gift she got me a beautiful card which hangs on my fridge and reminds me each day how lucky I am to be a Mom…

 

 

And I baked a beautiful Cupcake Bouquet on behalf of her and my hubby for mothers Day :) inspired from http://www.52kitchenadventures.com/2012/04/29/how-to-make-a-cupcake-bouquet/ .

The cupcakes are made of carrot and orange juice and my little one loves them.What more can i ask for on this mothers day…

As a kid my all time favorite show was Aladdin .. I loved that show. When I got into baking , I dreamt of making my dream cake :) and guess what it came true .

IMG_0825This cake was for a little prince who turned two. I was so happy to make this cake.. It was a two tier cake. The challenging part was sculpting the gene. His mom was keen on having an edible Gene. Initially I was thrilled to do one, but as time came closer I felt it was difficult to sculpt the gene, but luckily as always my angel :-j (my dear hubby) came to my rescue :-{} , he sculpted the beautiful gene just in time and I was able to deliver it as requested.

 

All the way I had so much fun making IMG_0890this cake :) ..End result was good, Little prince and his mom loved it. People in the party enjoyed the cake and It all made me happy ..A dream come true :)

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star…

My little star turned one last sunday :) Time flies, It was just yesterday when I held her in my arms and now she is One. For her first birthday we (I and my hubby) planned a Nursery Theme Birthday Party. As she loves the nursery rhymes so much, we couldn’t think of any other theme.

It was a months preparation with lots of hard work , planning. Everything was homemade from the decorations to the cake except for the food which we ordered from outside ;) (No way I could prepare for 100+ guest) I can host, bake but not cook hehehe :) one of my qualities :)

The preparation started with Wall Decor. I made some nursery rhyme banners  and picture posters to go on the Banquet Hall wall..

Than came the Birthday Banner

Than came the guest sign in book which I made by getting my little angels pictures from each month starting with 1st month to 12th month picture, making a collage all organized in a 12*12 album, leaving three sheets at the last for the guest to sign in and leave a sweet note.

The highlight was the cake. The best part of cake was the first two layers rotating …. how cool is that :) It took us almost a week’s hard work, day and night to complete this cute cake . We had loads of fun making this cake..:)

On the cake we had – Ba ba black sheep, humpty dumpty, the birthday alphabet train, hey diddle diddle, the blue boy, corn fields, the little boo beep lost her sheep..(and as i forget my sweet hubby reminds me that we had few more rhyms on the cake ;) ) , Jack n Jill, I’m a little tea pot :)

Unfortunately we couldn’t get the click of all sides of the cake :( .. we were so busy just forgot to take the detail click of each side :( i miss that..

Well overall it was an awesome party , we had lots of fun from the beginning , planning , organizing, hosting and celebrating with our little one :)

Tom & Jerry

Remember the cartoon show Tom & Jerry, I was never into it. While all my friends love them, I kind of was not so much into it. I know sounds like – What how come you don’t like Tom & Jerry.. well I used to not like but something recently changed my thoughts and now I love Tom & Jerry :) . What changed my mind,was my first 2013 Tom & Jerry Theme cake.

This is my first cake for this year. And its a wonderful start. I was asked to bake this birthday cake for one of our friends daughter who turned 3.

This cake was for 40 people, two layer pineapple cake, filling was pineapple with whipped cream and iced with whipped cream. Decorated with tom and jerry butter cream transfer.

Since this was my first big cake I was all tensed and did lots of research.

The cake was covered in Rich’s real pre-whipped Butter crème. Its yummy just like whip cream.

and the tom and jerry were made with butter cream recipe and frozen in freezer for a night and placed on the day of delivery luckily it dint melt till the time of the cake cutting.

At the end the cake came out awesome, the host was happy, people at the party loved it and I got a good review.. What more can I wish for :) all my hard work paid off..

Thanks to my lovely hubby to give me all the support and take care of our little angel, couldn’t have done without him.. my real strength and hero:). He is the one who motivates me :) XOXO…

This is how my new year began.. Beginning of a beautiful dream yay!!! turned into a wonderful memory…

A New Start A New Beginning!!

Just in a span of a day we step into all new year. like yesterday was last year :)

God is great, no doubt they call him great- as its so true.. After every 365 days of our life, he gives us a chance to restart our life, make a new start with a new beginning  call it a New Year.. wow how lucky is that. Well if not new beginning make some new resolutions forget what happened in the past year and move on..

So her we are. A new year, start of a new beginning. Sure I’ll miss 2012 it was an awesome year, all beautiful things happened this year…

Today is the beginning of 2013, I got to my resolutions set , have you go ;) ..

My resolutions keeps adding as we get into 2013 hehehe :) part of life.. This year My resolution starts with -

1. Keep up with my Lifeadream.

2. Have fun with my little angel, capture all the cute things she does and grow with her :)

3. Keep a track of what I weigh (O with that I forgot to weigh me…hmm I better get it done so I keep a track ;) )

Well the list will be filled as we go by… ;) every other day is a new resolution, can any one stop from having one.. no rule book that we cannot have resolution after the year is born ;) …
