Cold Stone Creamery.

Yummy Yummy !! Ice cream. Cold Stone Creamery is one of the best ice cream parlor in Hartford. I can proudly say this and confirm it as i just had it this evening. It has its locations in Evergreen park near Buckland mall.
Today my hubby took me and one of our friend, to this delightful ice cream parlor. As the sun was setting we decided to have some ice cream. Just than he remembered why not try this new ice-cream parlor, well its quite old one but new for us.
When we entered their it was so crowded a huge long line, but the wait was worth. After a long wait and confused decision we decided to go with berry chocolate with Chocó chips mixed in it.
This parlor is different from all other parlors in town. What’s different is that, here they will take your selected ice-cream and if you have any extra toppings to add, they will pound the ice-cream on a marble table floor and mix it and than serve it to you. Its amazing to see that , and it tastes so good.
Atlas its worth to wait in a long Q for the lovely ice-cream. We enjoyed every bit of it.
P.S: Don’t try the mix of chocolate with berry not so good , try the chocolate with Chocó chip brownie and fudge yummy..

Amazing yummy taste. Dream to have more of it.
Blue Mug

It was 3:30 friday evening, as usual was watching some movie on tv, that is when i received this call, which scared me. hmm (thinking) why did it scare me well you see I was watching a horror movie hehehhe ya I know sounds funny but that moment was horrifying..
Well the call was from my husband, as soon as i picked up he asked me- Would you like to see a Play -Blue Mug. He mentioned guess what all the comedy stars including Konkana Sen would be there. I said sure why not since the whole week was a kind of busy we really needed a break .
The show was around 7:30 in the evening . As usual we were a little late, but some how managed to reach on time. All our friends were waiting there for us, and since we had booked online we had to pick up the tickets at the counter.
You should have seen the crowd their, its was like a feel as if you are in some indian theatre. Being in US for a while, you tend to get so used to quiet sound, that you miss being in india, but when you see an environment filled with all indian crowd, and all that chutter putter, loud noise, makes you feel arre yaar we are in india and gives you such a nice feeling.
Best part was we reached and our friends are waiting, we asked did you get the tickets they are like no they have asked to wait , since we booked tickets today. So the first preference would be given to those who booked previous day.
Seriously you know , we couldn’t figure out which was the line , as there were people all around. Similar to how it happens in our theatres. Some how we figured out the line after waiting for 10 mins, arre yaar its just 10 mins more for the play to start and yet we are waiting for the tickets. Was wondering whats happening.
Well after all the pushing, running we got our tickets. Each ticket cost us $55. Well i know $55 wow so expensive, but watching a play for the first time , moreover you’ll get to see few of the best comedy stars along with Konkana Sen than its worth..
Only problem was the wait to see them was too long , we had to wait for 15 mins more to get into the theatre. Well that was the time we used it to take some snapshots.. all time pass.
At last the time came for us to enter the theatre , I was imagining a theatre something like how we see in TV all furnished. Lekin nahi, it was like our Indian mini theatre with all chairs placed , and a paper sticker at the starting of the row saying which section is it A,B,C….I know being in US i imagined something good, lekin yaar US is also not so polished..
We just imagine when we hear of US theatres that it would be all well furnished , But the real picture says something else, anyways, somehow we manged to locate our seats and guess what our seats were in the second row , so close to the theatre screen.
Great in all my excitement i forgot to describe what the play is all about .
Well the play is called Blue Mug (as i mentioned earlier) (Have no idea why it is called that) ,As per the director its “About memories and what we make of them” . Starring :
Rajat Kapoor
Ranvir Shorey
Vinay Pathak
Konkona Sen Sharma
Sheeba Chaddha
Munish Bhardwaj
most of us were there to see Konkona Sen
yeah i know a star in the town and the best part is you can watch them act live hehehe..
After we all were seated at our place , we were asked to switch of our mobile phone and as usual no flash photography. But what do you think did we do that ?
As the announcer came in, talking on top of his voice ( as he did not have a mike) we couldn’t hear a bit (who cared we were there only for the stars hehhee ), we heard just the last statement here comes the blue mug team.
Just as the actors entered, the whole theatre with excitement started on top of their voice, “We love you Konkana Sen, Welcome to hartford”, one lady was like love you Rajat.. hehehe I know so funny naa.. but it was so happening..
We came to know the team had just landed that morning and we could see that , as they were all so tired and all their eyes were swollen as they did not have much sleep. But yet they were full of energy. We could see that in the play.
As the play started it went on good for a while but later I couldn’t know whats happening , guess i missed out on some movements. The play was all about ones memories down the lane. It was about memories and experiences of 6 different characters in the play.
Each describing about his or her experience from childhood till the present. What happened, how it happened, what they missed , how they are missing it in the present with their busy lives. and so on.
Among the 6, 4 were telling , enacting stories about their life, memories and experiences (good and bad), and 2 were enacting the role of a doctor(konkana Sen) and patient(Ranvir Shorey) who is suffering from short-term memory loss.
A the end all well-played and delivered. This play went on for 85 mins. At the last they had mini 15 min discussion session with the audience, in which they were appreciated and criticized and many of them expressed their affection towards the stars.
The stars mentioned that this was their opening night of the play in US and they are going to be in US for about a month or so and will be playing in different cities on this tour. Well if some one is interested to check out the play please visit this site. http://www.thebluemugplay.com
Best part was we were still feeling as if we were seeing the stars on-screen. They were so close to us. Wow what a feeling..At the end what ever you say it was fun watching them. Only the sad part was couldn’t get a picture of me with them…
Well next time.. guess we will be the star and people would want a picture with me hehehe that’s the dream
What a dream…:)

Spring is on its way and we love spring. Long waited for the beautiful flowers to bloom, the wonderful beach with sun shine falling on the deep blue sea. Just waiting to go out and have some fun. But for few of us, certain proteins from pollens released by trees and plants irritate the immune system. Which thereafter allowing the body to produce excess histamine, an inflammatory compound that leads to, you guessed it, allergy symptoms, making it difficult to enjoy our lovely nature.
